First picture of the new baby

Tamara had her first doctor's visit for the new baby today. She had an ultrasound and we could see / hear the baby's heartbeat. They say the baby is 6 weeks along. The baby is on the left, the object on the right is some sort of sack.

This one is not as big of a deal as last time however, it never really sinks in that your having a baby until you hear the heartbeat. We both have a hunch that it will be a girl.

Free Image Hosting at ImageShack.usWe took Emily up to her Grannies work today to do some trick or treating. She obtained about two pounds of various name brand sweet treats in her pumpkin shaped bag. She had a good time. She was very good today, I only had to put her in the corner once for about a minute while we were in the waiting room at Mom's Doctor's visit. It rained pretty hard today while Mom was seeing the Doctor so we went out and watched it.

It's a real treat to see her skills growing. She is trying to make sentences and words. She seems to understand the back and forth cadence of conversation and she knows when she is expected to say something so she tries. She picked up the phone today and dialed a random number and started babbling like her mom and dad. I caught a video of her stacking her mom's candles up on top of each other in the living room. She seems to have a knack for mechanical things, like her dad. You only have to let her see how something works one time and you can catch her changing the channels on the TV or reseting the alarm clock when your not looking. She enjoys taking things out of containers, handing them to someone, and putting them back into other things. Posted by Picasa
