Emily's First Recital

Her class were fairies for the Peter Pan portion of the show and Dorthy's from Wizard of Oz for the 2nd part. She did really well and we were so proud. Thanks to all who supported her in this dance year.

Cancer walk 08

We took the kids to the Cancer walk this year which honors people who have survived all types of cancers. The Police Dept had a booth out there. The kids had snow cones, balloons, played games and jumped in the bounce house. Emily's picture was in the paper a couple days later. It was a good family evening and a great cause.

Cinco De Mayo Party

We went to Amber and Robby's Sunday for all the fun. We had so much fun and Robby cooked so much awesome food. GO ROBBY!!!. I have not laughed so much in a long time. We are lucky to have great friends like them. We will do it again soon I am sure. Love you guys.

Emily's Dance Pictures.....She makes a cute Dorthy!

We had pictures done for dance the other day. They are doing the Wizard of Oz this year. She has another costume that is a blue sequence leotard with fairy wings. Here are some pics I took with my camera phone so they are not great. Her recital is Saturday the 17th. She is so excited. After all she has been through with her sickness, she so deserves this and I know she will do great.

Emily's hospital visit

As many of you know, we have had a bad time with Emily's breathing this year. Any little runny nose or cough triggers her wheezing. It hits her very hard. This landed us in the ER last Thursday night. After giving her a breathing treatment, inhaler, cold meds, Ibuprofen for a fever we ended up going anyway. Nothing was helping. Her oxygen levels we down to 87% when we got there. It was a very scary time. They stuck her twice to draw blood and had to dig quite a bit with the needle. I was crying more than she was. Poor thing, it hurt her so bad. I told them they could not do it a third time after the test came back wrong. They put her on oxygen and after about 3 breathing treatments her oxygen levels finally came back up to decent levels. She was exhausted. We were admitted for the night and she was able to get off the oxygen at about 2 am after her 3rd breathing treatment. They have finally diagnosed it as Asthma. We now have to keep a very close eye on her. Even just playing for too long causes her to breath too hard. She is now on 2 different inhalers, her breathing treatments when she needs them,Singular, and she has just finished a week of steroids. I hope this gets better soon. She was a trooper and she is so strong. I love her so.
