Update

I thought I would just post an update. We have been pretty busy lately. Chris mom came from Texas a couple weeks ago. The kids love seeing her. As Emily says, "Texas Granny's nice, I love her." Last weekend we went to Branson to visit Anthony and Windy. They are having a little boy. We are all excited. I am planning to throw them a baby shower sometime around the beginning of September, so any of you reading this, please keep it in mind. We went to Dixie Stampeed Friday night and the kids had a blast. Jacob enjoyed it way more than I thought. He was dancing and singing and clapping. It was so cute. Emily loved all the animals. Saturday we did a little shopping and went to Silver Dollar City in the evening. It was fun. Emily loves the rides and playlands they have. Sunday we went to the kid park they have on the main stripe. It has go carts and all sorts of kiddie rides. Emily had the time of her life. She has no fear and goes on every ride. Her and Daddy had gone on the tea cups so many times Daddy said no more. We played mini-golf, well, as much as a 3 year old would play anyway. We went and ate lunch after that at the Music Hall and headed home after that. Thanks for a good time Bubba and Windy.

The kids are doing well. Emily is really starting to show some, we will say, "personality."
Let's just say I think the 3's are going to be a lot more challenging than the 2's. She is in summer pre-school for the next 2 months so they only go on Thursdays. She misses the Tuesdays already. Jacob started going also. I had a hard time leaving him for the first time. He was actually laughing at the other kids crying but, when I had to go he got scared and joined in with the rest. Hopefully next week will go better. In August both of the kids are going to start school mon-fri 8-3. I know Emily will love it b/c it is an actual structured pre-school program. They do schooling in the morning and have lunch and nap and play in the afternoon. I am ok with Emily going but I am a little hesitant to put Jacob in. he is only 1 and I think I will miss him. I feel like it would just be me handing him over to someone else to take care of till 3. Chris' feels it will be so good for him. He wants him to be social and be around other kids. We had some problems with Emily b/c of her shyness and she took a bit to adjust to school when she started last year at 2. I will give it a try and see what happens. I just wish it wasn't everyday. We are getting into this pre-school at no cost to us so if he does not go 80% of the month then he can loose his spot in the program. We are fortunate to get them into this b/c there is actually a waiting list for the private-pay kids. Take care.
