91/2 months and growing.....My Precious Boy!

My sweet sweet boy. How I am so enjoying you and every memory we make together. It seems like I was visiting you in the NICU with Daddy and Emily just yesterday. You have thrived since then and are turning into a handsome, bright toddler. You will be walking before we know it. You adore your sister and have started to mimic her. I don't know if that is a good thing or not. We will see. You have been a joy and a handful. You are turning into such a flirt and just thrive on attention. You eat everything in front of you and sleep pretty well. I couldn't ask for a better son. You are reminding me more of your Daddy everyday. I hope you are like him when you grow up. You will always be able to depend on him. He is a great man. You love him so much. If you have been a crank all day, Daddy can walk in and the whole world is better. You get into everything. You love to open and close doors the way your sister did and Play peek-a-boo by yourself.
Just the other day I had one of those "Mommy of the Year" moments. I got you out of your high-chair and took your shirt and diaper off because you had been eating spagettios and of course made a mess. I set you on thefloor while I took the trash out and went to get another diaper, and in all of the 2 minutes I was gone you had pee-ed and poo-ed on the floor under the table, and had a chunk of poo in your mouth chewing on it. I about gagged myself. Lets just say it was BATH TIME!!!!!!!!
You are about as much of a boy as can be expected which is a lot for me because I am so use to your girly sister. I love the way you can always make me laugh when I am not feeling so well. You give long wet kisses all the time and boy are they well received. I can't wait to see what is to come. Love you, sweet boy.

And Penelope is born............

We went to build-a-bear for Trinity's 6th birthday party. Thanks to Aunt Amy and Uncle Jerald for the party. Emily had a blast. She was a bit indecisive at first, but by the time we got to the outfits she went straight for the ballerina outfit. and here she is..............................

My Princess.......Sweet Innocence

Thanks to aunt Gina for the gorgeous Barbie Princess dress. Emily loves it and is wanting to wear it when we go to Disney on ice: Princess Wishes. She is so excited about it.

To my friend

I will miss you. In seven years you never said a harsh word to me. You never showed me any anger. You were gratefull for the gifts that were given to you. You always stood by my side no matter what. Thank you for your companionship and love. You will not be forgotten. I will continue to strive to be more like you.

R.I.P. Scooter and Oliver

We did have to put Scooter down today. His back was really messed up. His nerves were being affected also. He lost control of his bowels. We will miss him. Aug 2000-March 19, 2007
This pic of him was taken just a couple weeks ago. Take a look at what he was packin!!!!!!

Oliver was fairly new to the family but definitely a part of it. He was all Emily's (well mommy was pretty partial to him too). Emily is ok with it now due to the fact that "he fly up to heaven to be with Jesus." That is what she says. It is too sweet.

I think we are done with pets for a little while. Emily is wanting a Oliver II though. We will see.

Life isn't always a bowl full of cherries

The whole family has been sick for what seems like a month.

Earlier in the month the bird died from apparent unintentional trauma to the head. Tamara took that pretty hard, and Emily was sad for about a day. I never really got attached to the bird.

Then my dog Scooter threw out his back again. That is not abnormal for him but he's not recovering and the vet says it would cost $1800 to try and fix it (no guarantees either). In the meantime he has lost most of the control of his back legs, and more recently his bladder / pooper. He can really only crap on the carpet for so long before we have to just bite the bullet and put him down (in fact we are about to leave for the vet now).

Throw in the fact that every one of us has come down with some sort of bug that causes everything from headaches to puking, fever and flu like symptoms and you can imagine what it has been like around the house. The trash is overflowing, there are dishes everywhere, strang smells are starting to make themselves known and the mood is not chipper.

On the bright side we (the humans in the family) are starting to feel better and the house is looking cleaner.

When your not sick it's hard to remember exactly what being sick feels like, but when you are it's very easy to recall. Being sick gives you a different perspective, time slows down, smells and tastes are different, and personally I can't sleep.

That's about all for now. Expect a post shortly about my soon to be dead dog.

Weekend in Corning

We went to Corning for Mema's 60th birthday party. We stayed at aunt Gina's and the kids had so much fun. Gina, Na, and I took Parker and Emily to the carnival, I think they rode everything at least 2-3 times. They were exhausted by the time we got home. Sunday Emily went to Church with Parker and Mema and then Uncle Jim took the kids for a ride on the big tractor. We had a fun weekend seeing our family.

Dallas "Body World"

We went to Dallas to see the body world exibit. It was amazing. I would recommend it to anyone. It is an exibit of preserved dead persons who have donated their bodies to science so of course, all the private parts are still there. We walk in to the very first male exibit and Emily says, in her loud little voice "Momma, look at his wee-wee." It was priceless. NO pics were allowed but here are some of us at the aquarium, and history museum etc.....

Trip to Texas

We love going to Texas to visit. We go as much as possible. The kids love playing at Granni and Papa's pond. Emily is already talking about fishing when it gets warmer. She loves seeing her little cousin Gracie.
