Emily's Birthday Dinner at Moms

We all went to Moms for dinner. She made Emily's favorite fried chicken with all the fixins. Em ate 2 pieces by herself. I made her an ice cream cake which she requested. She opened her presents from Bubba and Windy and Texas Granny and Papa. She is in love with her polly pocket castle. She is playing with it every chance she gets and usually while in one of her pretty dresses. Jacob decied he wanted to dress up too but Daddy, Papa, and Bubba didn't think it was too funny so we took it off. This is one of those pics I can use when he gets older. LOL Parenthood, gotta love it!
Thanks to everyone for making Emily's birthday special. She is so appreciateive of everything.

Emily's Party at School

We took cupcakes, pink lemonade, necklaces, and a pinata to school for Em's birthday. I got there at the end so I only have pics of them doing the all important pinata. She had a good day.

Thank You Texas Granny!

Emily loves her dresses and she was so surprised when she got her flowers. I don't think she fully understands how you got them here but she does know you work magic!

Bubba and Titan came to visit

It was a nice visit. I wish Windy could have come. Emily kept saying Bubba and Windy the whole time as if she were there. It was cute. I know Emily enjoyed having them here for her birthday. Titan has grown so much in 2 months. He is such a good baby. Mommy and Daddy should be proud.

My kiddos..... My gift from God

I am so in love with my children right now. They are molding into wonderful little people and learning so much everyday.

Emily has seemed to learn how to do big girl puzzles over night. She loves to color and do workbooks right now. She is eager to learn. She has an active imagination and I love standing at her door listening to her play with her dolls and making up stories. She is a wonderful helper. She helped me mop the floors and she cleaned the windows by herself. She likes her room organized and is really good at keeping her room clean. I am so proud to be her Mommy.
Jacob is a wiz kid(I am bias). He is already doing great with potty training. He loves to play with his cars and is taking up the coloring thing since sissy is doing it. He speaks so well for his age. I have to watch what I say around him already b/c he understands everything. He is a wonderful happy child and he is that kid that makes parenting fairly easy. I am so blessed to have my family and thank God for them everyday.

EMILY WROTE HER NAME!!!!!!!

This is the first time she has written her name legibly. It was on a birthday card for her friend Breanna. I am so proud!

Some Cakes I have made

The first one was for Moms b-day. First time doing basketweave. Had about 20 min to decorate it so it was not great. The second one was a practice cake. That is why there are lots of different borders around it. The third is Emily's birthday cake for tomorrow. I still have some finishing touches to add. I will post the finished product later.

Day at the Lake

I took the kids out to the lake where Mom and Hershell were camping. Alcoa was having their fish tournament and we had a fish fry afterward. The kids had a good time. Jacob threw rocks in the water most of the time. even at age4 Emily still likes to fall asleep on the barge when we are trolling the lake. It is so funny.

Trip to Texas March 08

We took a long trip to Texas since we had not been since October. We celebrated Granny's 81st birthday with a surprise party. We met a lot of family I don't think Chris has ever met. It was a nice time. The kids like to visit there. Lots of room to run and play. We visited for almost a week and it seemed to go by really fast. We can't wait to go back. Linda had surgery while we were there also. She is doing better and getting well(if she would actually rest)(hint, hint.)
