The Going's on of the Eatons

We have been doing well and trying to stay warm. We had a good Thanksgiving here at home with a few family. The kids are growing and learning so much. Em is still my sweet little girl and Jacob is his Daddy's boy and Mommy's snuggle bug all in one. We are heading to Texas for a few days before Christmas to visit and do the holiday thing down there. We are excited to get out of town for a while. We plan to be home by Christmas Eve and have our traditions as a famly at home. Christmas Day will consist of family time and going to Mom's for her yummy ham and Christmas with them. It will be a nice holiday, no stress and not too many commitments. New Years will probably be a party at Ambers and as usual a really good time. We are planning a trip to Wisconsin sometime after the new year which will be fun to let the kids see "real" snow. The pregnancy is going well and I am feeling much better these days. I am in my 13th week and relieved we have made it this far.

Going to the Circus......

The circus was in town so we had to go. It was Jacob's first and Em's second time going. The kids got sugared up on snow cones and cotton candy and loved seeing the animals. I think the elephants were their favorite. Emily loved all the girls dresses and loved being able to try some on. Jacob enjoyed himself but would rather watch than participate. He was all into his snow cone most of the show. We had a good time and Granny bought them both a souvenir to remember their fun time.

Christmas Parade 08

April and I took the kids to the Christmas parade in town. We got the kids some McDonalds and parked in a spot where we could all stay in the car. The kids decided they wanted to get out. It was cold but I guess where we were was blocking all the wind. It was a fun night.

Kitchens family Thanksgiving/Christmas party.

We went to Papa's family get together. We had a nice time. There were tons of people there. We know a lot of them from Em's school. Seems most of the Kitchens women work at the elementary school. Good food and good people.

Emily's Thanksgiving Program Pre-K

Em had her first program at school for Thanksgiving. It was really cute. They sang a variety of Thanksgiving songs and were very proud of themselves for all their hard work. Em did great.

Family hunting trip to the Farm

We all loaded up and went to the farm so Chris could hunt a bit. We had a good time even though the only one to get a deer was Aunt Dana. Emily and Jacob find skinning and cutting a deer fascinating. The next morning they were playing with the deer head. It was really funny.

Titan's 1st Birthday

We headed to Branson for Titan's birthday. It was such a nice time and Windy went all out and made it so much fun for the kids. The house looked so cute in the jungle theme. I wish we could of visited more but thats how life goes. I am glad we were able to be there. Titan is such a good boy and so happy. We love him so. We also went to the trail of lights which the kids loved and went to the Christmas show at Dixie. I tried to do a little shopping but that didn't work to well with the massive crowds and me being by myself with the kids. We got to spend lots of time with Mema, Gina and the boys too. That was so much fun. The kids get along really well. Can't wait to visit with everyone again.

Halloween 08

This year was a good Halloween. Em had her first party and parade at school. She was so excited to be in the parade. We of course went to Dillards where they all received tons of candy and came home and trick or treated the neighborhood after dinner. Texas Granny and Papa were here for the holiday which made it that much more fun. Emily was Ariel and Jacob was Spiderman. We took them to the Spook City trick-or-treating in Benton the night before also. That is so much fun for them. That same night Chris excepted an award for his heroism and going beyond the call of duty at the tornados and floods we had a few months prior. Love my family!

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch this past weekend and has lots of fun. April and the girls went also. We watched pig races, did hay rides, played on hay stacks, picked pumpkins, pet the aminals and just had a nice time with the kids.

Lucky the Police Dog

We had a visit from Lucky who decided to dig his way out of his yard when he was all alone. They called Chris to ask if he would watch him until his family got home. Chris is on the same shift that Lucky and his handler work on so he is very familiar with Chris as Chris is Lucky. The kids thought he was so nice and enjoyed playing with him. Chris was so in his element. He is such a dog person. He of course could not let him lay on the floor like a normal dog as you can see. If Chris had a K-9 it would be spoiled ROTTEN!

Fall 2008

The kids are enjoying the cooler weather and we are getting outside more. Emily is riding her big bike now and Jacob loves his 3 wheeler. The sand box has become a popular hang out lately. It's a regular among the kids. Em is making friends with the kids down the street, which excites her to no end. The neighborhood is filling with families and kids and it is nice to see. It seems it is becoming a "police" neighborhood. I couldn't tell you how many police associated families live here now. I guess that makes it safe enough, LOL. We are looking forward to the holidays and visits with family and friends. We are so blessed to have our little family.
