Jacob comes home

We brought Jacob home yesterday, followed by a trip back to the doctor and then back home one more time. It's been a long week. We are glad to have him home finally so we can get back to the buisness of being a family.

Emily has been a handfull. She needs more than constant attention and she has a quick temper. Hopefully this will get better soon.

Jacob's Birth, Day 6

Jacob is doing well, he is still in ICU. He is starting to eat a small amount at a time and his breathing is getting better. We expect it should not be too long before he can come home. We are making alot of trips back and forth to the hospital.

I've added a link to a web photo album to the left side of the page.

Jacob C. Eaton

Jacob Christopher Eaton is 7lbs. 3oz. 19 inches. He was born at 8:06 a.m.

Mom is doing well, much better than her last delivery. This evening she was able to get out of bed to take a wheelchair ride.

Jacob is still in ICU but he is doing well. His breathing is faster than normal because he aspirated on some fluid during the surgery. He is expected to transition within the next 12 to 24 hours at which time he will be returned to our room.

We thank you for your support and especially for your prayers. Posted by Picasa

To Jacob.....

Well, here it is the day before you are to be born and I am just a mix of emotions. I am so excited to see what you are all about. Your a strong little thing. You like to kick Mommy all the time, hard enough to pop my ribs. I am anxious about the delivery so lets pray it goes as smoothly as possible. Your big sister is really starting to grasp that you are coming out of Mommy's tummy soon. She likes to say "baby out" and then points at your swing. I know she will be a great big sister. We are all anxiously waiting for you to be here. Your Daddy is the best you could ever ask for. I think it has finally set in that he is going to have a son and I know he is ready to teach you everything to be as great a man as he is. It will be so nice to finally see you and get into the swing of things. You will be the perfect addition to our family. You are coming into a family with lots of love and devotion. You have lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. You will be so spoiled, as your sister is, by your Grandparents whom we love and appreciate so much. You are the first boy to be born in our family in over 13 years. You are the first Grandson for both sides of the family and the first Great Grandson on my moms side. Your room is all ready for you and we are as ready as we can be to give you all the love and attention you need.
Love you,
Mommy

Emily entertaining herself........

Fun with your "Tinty"

You love your "Tinty" so much, you can't wait to see her when you get together. Even with the age difference you two seem to find something in common. You play well together and I think you look up to her quite a bit. Trinity, thanks for being such a great big cousin!!!!

Mom and Hershell's Party

We had a blast at the party. We enjoyed seeing friends and family we hadn't seen lately. Emily just fell in love with little Roman. We were so worn out by the end of the day. Thanks to Rudy and Karen for hosting.
